Asunafo south, just like any other district of other nations, have experienced and continue what I call, naunces of life, the good, the bad and the ugly.
At the times all hope and dreams were shuttered, came one man, whom I called the messiah, others call him "Sompahene" (Good servant) , Hon. George Yaw Boakye. He has been trenched with the ranked and file of our dear party, committed to the ideals and cause of the NPP.
In 2004, Ex. President Kuffour led administration did a fantastic job by bringing local government close to the doorstep of people in Asunafo South where there was lack of most social amenities.
There come Sompahene (Hon. George Yaw Boakye) as the District Chief Executive.
During his tenure, he contributed a lot to Asunafo south and Ghana as a whole. Due to his hardwork he was adjudged the second best DCE in Brong Ahafo and third best in Ghana. "Is on record "
He was rewarded for his selfless and dedication by winning emphatically to represent the people of Asunafo south in the 2008 election.
He has stayed loyal , committed and courageous to stand up to all forms of intimidation in both 2012 and 2016 electioneering campaign caused by Hon. Eric Opoku and his gangs.
Over the years, the people in Ahafo has not benefited from governance system of NPP in terms of appointment.
We, all cried for change and the Almighty God has given it to us. Nananom and the entire electorate voted massively for change and what is left is for his Excellency to put the people of Ahafo in consideration.
If Hon. George Yaw Boakye is given appointment, it will definitely offer the leverage that would beat our opponent Hon. Eric Opoku to the game.
If you do cost - benefit analysis, you get a clear picture that puts Asunafo south far ahead of the other district in Ahafo and Brong Ahafo as a whole.
We belief in his Excellency competency, so we will support any appointment he makes but we the people of Asunafo South appeal to H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo to look for someone like Hon. George Yaw Boakye who is resourceful and could win more votes for the party towards an overwhelming victory in 2020.
