GRADUATE EMPLOYMENT CAMPAIGN

Image
Charlie, I hear say you get Job... My brother yess oooo, right now my money come... This was a conversation that went on between Abubakar and I two years ago... The next morning after the chat I heard my University friend Abubakar has committed suicide... Abubakar was my senior at the University of Ghana, infact he completed his national service  two years before I graduated and he was a first class student... After my national service, I was lucky to get a six months contract at my Uncle's work place... Abubakar has remained unemployed since 2013 and have been actively searching and has been facing  _the gentleman sorry no vacancy and the go and come next week stuff_ One evening when I was returning from this my shoddy work which earns me Ghc150 a month, I met Abubakar and we had that conservation... I don't know whether my friend took his life because of the conversation or his inability to secure a job for himself... I came to understand the situatio

GRADUATE EMPLOYMENT CAMPAIGN

Image
Dear undergrads, I don't know if I should call this a letter or an advice... Many a years ago graduates were chased during graduation for an appointment into the big companies in the country... As time wore on, the story change where graduates will be holding brown envelopes filled with CV and certificates loitering and hovering around like scavengers... The question that came to mind was simple _Na who cause am_ Is it the system or nature made it so? Though it has become inevitable but casting my memory back successive government has show some  commitment in solving this issue bar a particular incompetent government who turn into deaf ears to the extent of placing an embargo on employment, failing to post nurses for three consecutive years leading to the birth of unemployment graduate and unemployment graduate nurses... I was a victim of unemployment. I graduated from the University of Ghana Business School in 2015 and got my first appointment as a supervisor in

Meet Hon. Kobby Amoa-Mensah... The PC elect for Asunafo South... He is the independent road safety consultant at the Pokuase interchange... As a civil engineer who has specialised in roads and buildings he has promised to fix all the deplorable roads in Asunafo South... #The Alternative is Scary #The Alternative is Scary #The Alternative is Scary John TIO Mahama says he is on  rescue mission... A rescue mission to cancel NABCO... A rescue mission to cancel trainee allowances... A rescue mission to pay double salaries... A rescue mission to cancel Free SHS... A rescue mission to collapse NHIS... Funny,  If Mahama wants to go on rescue mission he should join Cardinal Altamirano's *'THE MISSION'* movie to help rescue the indians or better still he should used the money he stole from the Ghanaian tax payers to go and rescue the poor and marginalised in Bole... We don't need Mahama to rescue Ghanaians from the good policies we are enjoying to his reviewing policies...  must all support the election of MMDCEs in just the same way that the people elect MPs and a President... Indeed, if the people are deemed qualified and smart enough to elect MPs and the President, the same people must be given the right to vote for their local Chief Executive... In 2017, Ghana’s food prices remained stable. There was no importation of maize and about 700,000 jobs were created with a particular focus on the youth. The aim of getting the youth involved in this program is that, he wanted them to know that farming is a business and whiles they are not getting jobs to do they can also go into farming and with the support that he is giving them, they should be able to increase the productivity and also get a lot of value. Today most Ghanaian Youth are into this program. #TheChangeWeVoted4 #Planting4Food #Planting4Export #YouthTheFuture Long live #NPP Long live #Ghana #NanaTuaso 2020

It will be unfair to you if I don't find time out of my busy schedule to wish you... In my life, I have deep respect and admiration for some people. And I’m really happy to say that you’re one of them. For political strategies,  am yet to meet anyone with a quarter of what  God has blessed you with... For those who do not know,  Pope is young but politically he is like a grandpa in the family... You believed in me and helped me to get to where I am today... I appreciate all your sacrifices... On this special day, I want God to 'overbless' you,  that is if there is any word like that. Pope may you and your family never lack in this world. May your kindness and patience open doors for you. This is to say a big Thank you to all the Delegates who made this dream come  through/true. It is imperative to also acknowledge the activities of all the aspirants who made the contest a keen and historical one. I thank them all. Team Kobby preached the need for peace and unity in our party and across our constituency. Elections are over and I promise to be a team player. I belong to the great NPP party. We can do this together. In thanking all for the diverse support and prayers, I advice all supporters to celebrate cautiously so as not to make the supporters of other aspirants feel alienated. My victory is a victory for all. A victory for change in our constituency. I remain to be faithful to the grassroots and in cooperation with the entire leadership of our party wrestle the MP seat for our party. To this effect I intend to seek the counsel of the other aspirants who did not get the nod from our Delegates when the need arises. I strongly believe that each of them has

Dear friends, I am pleased to inform you that the University of Ghana is continuing its climb in world rankings of universities,  using the Webometrics Ranking.  It must be noted that all ranking indicators have some sort of bias - but year to year changes within one indicator can act as an evaluation measure. Our current ranking in Africa is 16th and in the World 1209th. The Universities ahead of us in Africa are mainly South African (10) Egyptian (3), Nairobi and Makerere. Ibadan is 17th in Africa and just 24 places behind us in World ranking. Since January 2018, the University of Ghana has climbed 346 places in World Ranking. This is an achievement that has been possible by measures taken by the University to become a world class research university. For the record The University of Ghana rankings over the past decade on Webometrics: Date           Africa Rank        World Rank July 2009            55               6287 Jan 2016            16

My belief to be an agent of change is evidenced in that which I set off to achieve everyday exclusive of the shortfalls. The world is full of surprises. There is a man I have been seeing around for over the last six months. Just yesterday we crossed paths and I said hello to him. I introduced myself to him and he did likewise. We had a quick conversation and guess what happened. It turned out in our conversation that we both attended the same university and had lived in the same student area. What are the chances of this happening. Leeds and Goaso. He belonged to the class of 1984 and I belonged to the class of 2003 of the University of Leeds. Surely the Leeds spirit is alive in Ahafo.

Since I got elected as the Assembly Member for Kukuom Abr)mamu-Bep)so-Tanoso electoral area my intent had been to bring my electoral area to the limelight in Ghana... I have pushed myself to the limits and I have had amazing support from family and friends. Supporters of the two major political parties NDC and NPP in my electoral area have all generally co-operated with me during my first tenure of Office regardless of the challenges. I have boldly over the last 3 years been stating that I am the best Assembly Member in Ghana. I said Ghana not Ahafo Region. Yes. I have repeatedly stated that I am #NO1ghassemblymember. For all this while no assembly Member in the entire nation has been able to challenge me. That says alot. I am stating it again. I am the number 1 Gh assembly Member. Let any challenger pop up and my record will speak for itself. I will 'shatta' them one time. It is clear that GH here is no challenger. So from now on if you see me call me no1assembly member

I am of the honest opinion that the decision to build a new house for parliament should not be implemented. As an engineer, I find it difficult to decipher as to how our leadership is being purported to have failed to see the possibility in the reconfiguration of seats to optimize the space in parliament. If None can do this. Please I can do it free of charge for the country. I know our leaders will listen and not build a new house for parliament. Please let us use that money to build more hospitals and improve our Healthcare. People in my constituency don't have access to good healthcare. We have only one government doctor catering for 100 000 citizens, maybe part of that money could be allocated to recruit more doctors in my constituency and other areas alike. Let us use our scare national resources prudently. #kamensology #no1ghassemblymember

The Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources has begun an engagement with the Ghana Chamber of Mines and some mining companies to locally process 30 per cent of the gold mined in the country. This is to tap into the synergies along the value chain of the mining industry to ensure that the state derives fair returns from the extractive sector. The Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, Mr Kwaku Asomah-Cheremeh, said it was the government’s policy to add value to the country’s natural resources and urged multinational mining firms to help achieve that objective. Speaking at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Ghana Chamber of Mines in Accra, Mr Asomah-Cheremeh expressed the hope that the initiative would enhance Ghana’s reputation as a mining hub. “I trust that our partnership with the chamber will facilitate pursuit of the best way to implement this initiative to further boost Ghana’s image as a credible mining destination,” he said. He said the government appreciated the coop

*I WISH MY MOTHER A HAPPY FATHERS DAY* Those who might not read beyond the title may question my intelligence and others after reading it may argue but I know what is right... Following thousands, all are wishing Men and Boys a happy Fathers Day, following the normal ritual as usual but I have decided to Change the memo a bit... Though they refer to her as She but She perfectly stood in the shoes of my Father when he passed away during my JHS days... I believe that what we become depends on what our fathers teach us at odd moments, when they aren’t trying to teach us. We are formed by little scraps of wisdom. I never Lack that because she Fathered me more than even Prince David Osei acting in a romantic role in a movie... No day makes me happier than the day She told me to refer to her as my *Daddy*. I Yeboah Benjamin joins many other Ghanaians in congratulating all the B.E.C.E candidates for ending their journey successfully. I am confident of success because I have noted over the years, the unflinching dedication and commitment of the Ghanaian Teacher, and the 'can-do' spirit of the Ghanaian as a result of the good policies H. I am also optimistic that Candidates have remained focused on their education and are therefore fully prepared to enjoy Free SHS come September. Ben's Column.... I decided not to respond to this article but it has become necessary that I have to left handedly throw this trash and twat write up in to river Odawna.... The initial title of this article was, "Any idiot can write and publish articles". I had to change it because those who might not read beyond the headline would accuse me of insulting all those who write proper and better articles to raise concerns in the society and also promote the good works of the government.... Now coming to the main context of the article published by hwahwan Obrempong or whatever.... Snr, I think you have succeeded in bringing down your website, your image and lowering your professional ethics and monumentally embarrassing yourself in the end...
